Our History
Established in 1984 as GraphicAir Systems by chairman and majority shareholder Doug Taylor, to manufacture and supply air filtration cabinets to Education and Graphic Design companies. In 1994 the company began to diversify into other areas and markets requiring air filtration and extraction of fumes, dusts, gases and solvents. The company was incorporated and the name changed to Widespread Solutions Ltd.
With the introduction of legislation such as CoSHH requiring all companies to implement controls to regulate exposure to potentially hazardous products within the workplace a range of cabinets and booths were manufactured offering customers the option to vent the contaminants to the external atmosphere via integral flexi ducting. (This eliminates the need for expensive factory duct work), or the more cost effective option of recirculating the cleaned air back into the workplace. This option has the added advantage of reducing the energy costs and potential environmental pollution.
Working along side and listening to our customers and distributors needs, our range has grown from the basic GraphicAir range of spray booths and cabinets to include the TechFlo range of industrial and laboratory fume cabinets. These are ideal for use in situations demanding higher, more efficient levels of filtration and/or extraction. TechFlo is now and established name within the electronics industry where they are recognized as all round work stations for rework and R & D applications, when soldering and spraying conformal coatings and adhesives. In 2005 we were the first to introduce a range of filtration units into the Beauty industry. The SolarEx range is now the market leader in the Airbrush Spray Tanning sector of the beauty industry.
In the past few years we have seen significant growth in all our market areas; which include Graphics, Beauty, Industrial, Home Hobby, Dental & Medical as well as the Education sector. Our next step is to build on the success we have had in the UK market and develop that into our growing overseas markets.
